Shilbert 1989 - 2007

Had to say goodbye to a dear old friend, shilbert, who has seen it all, my first car and my first Martin guitar, and some stuff I don't mind him taking to the grave with him. We are all pretty sad around here. I will miss taking all your meows out of the mixes. To one cool cat...you will be missed.

Great New Band and Entertainment Booker I am working with down in Columbia South Carolina.....Too much fun with these guys ( and Gal)
The band is ---Jackson Wools  -Percussionist / Aaron Palmer  -Bass / Matt Fenech -Drums
Jackson is a close old friend who I met in North Carolina...gazing through the music ads there looking for a percussionist...amazing who you find in there.........Aaron and Matt are two great players....
Lisa Joy is the new Entertainment booker taking the band in the direction of Festivals..and more....she is great...energetic and inspiring..I am looking forward to fruitful relationship with all these folks......Gig in Columbia on Oct. 12th and possibly more...so stay tuned.

Playing at Edgehill Studios, Nashville

Played a show last night at Edgehill Studio in Nashville..right off music row....and a kickin' sound system.....thanks for everyone for coming out!!!!

Here with Nicia, a really cool new friend....who had to leave early....(to Nicia..lisa finally showed and played shaker on some tunes)...will have to catch it next time!!!

Britney Spears, is she wrong?

I am almost afraid to post this.. Britney Spears come on Todd.....but...when in doubt.... put it out...so to speak.
OK, my friend and I, over some just ok sushi last night at PM in Nashville, had this Britney Spears discussion.
I said....on Britney's behalf and speaking from only my own experiences that...for me.
my teen years were very extreme party years...almost dangerous party years...and if there were camera's around me then they would have captured some pretty crazy stuff. I have grown out of that but still respect those years because I needed them to burn through so speak to a reality of who I am now...
So for someone who has never had those crazy times and have those crazy times in them, they have to come out sometime.
Don't know much of Britneys history but I think she was a child star...hence no crazy teen years.
Personally I could care less about this but see it at Kroger and Harris Teeter all the time...it is ridiculous...leave her alone..who cares...
So my friend quickly pointed out that she had everything...threw it away...and the biggest thing, to me at least I agree maybe, are her kids that are involved...but after writing this...I think he is wrong ...we just need to leave her alone....oh well I maybe deleting this tomorrow......T

Twenty years will pass and the world is a grandiose medicine box.

God stays at home with parents and the hunger for Eve and fruit is never
satisfied.

Forty years will pass before the first emotion screams.
A bird will swoop.
Women will all look naked, Church like valium to the spirit,
God a crotched predator, and life as loose as the change
you’ve gathered into an account.

Sixty years will pass and your head and heart like a down pillow.
Clothes will look colorful and important and puppies more valuable
than dogs.
God will be the older brother you’ve learned to live with and grown to love and heaven the
perfect park for a family reunion.

This is Something you won't hear everyday

Body Percussion....that's right.....my friend Jackson rolled into Nashville for a couple of days and we layed down some tracks for an instrumental project and this was an offshoot....Jackson, and myself, could barely keep from laughing after ever track....this is all organic...no instuments....just the body...drop me a comment and let me know what you think.....and by the way is totally unmixed
